• Kiwanis Club of Aurora was the first service club to be chartered in the city of Aurora (June 5, 1941).

• Our club sponsors four high school KEY Clubs:
•Eaglecrest HS
•Grandview HS
•Regis Jesuit HS
•Smoky Hill HS
• One of our fundraisers is a Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction held each year in May (This year the dinner was Friday, May 13.).
• Another of our fundraisers is the sale of western-slope Colorado peaches in August (Peach delivery will be 27 August this year; Kiwanians pre-sold and delivered 927 cases of peaches this last year (a record!). The profits go to the Aurora Kiwanis Foundation for youth and community service projects. Watch this web site to find out how to order!).
• Since 1969, Aurora Kiwanians have provided nearly $400 000 in grants and loans to Aurora Public Schools high school graduates.
•This year (2011) the club gave $36 000 in $cholarships to Aurora high school seniors.
•The club also presented over $3 000 in $cholarships to members of our KEY Clubs in 2009.
•At one time the club painted a mile-long stripe down Colfax Avenue and invited Aurorans to place a mile of pennies on it. (A mile of pennies adds up to $844.40.).
• In the early years, the club built two structures - a Youth Center and a large picnic pavilion - for the City of Aurora.
•Kiwanis Club of Aurora has begun one of the first Club Satellites in Rocky
Mountain District Kiwanis. The club is a cycling club, riding cycling events to raise money for charities.
•The Key Club of Regis Jesuit High School won First Place , Bronze Division, in the Inaugural Supermarket Sweep for Comitis Crisis Center on January 26, 2011.
